The perfect eyebrow shape for every face shape
"It's all about brows!" - In the 1990s, extremely narrow eyebrows were the hottest, a few years ago natural eyebrows were totally trendy and since 2018 bushy eyebrows rank nr. 1. Finding the perfect brow shape is almost impossible ...
Brows are not one size fits all. They come in all shapes, sizes, thicknesses and colors. Sure, finding the right shape can be confusing but it’s actually not that complicated. The shape of your brow should depend on the shape of your face.
Read on and we'll tell you which eyebrow shape best suits your face shape.
Oval face shape
An oval face shape is known to be the perfect face shape as it can pretty much pull of any type of brow, except the super thin brows from the 90s, because let’s be honest, no one can pull them off… Oval faces are quite symmetrical from top to bottom and have a forehead that’s slightly wider than the chin with high cheekbones.
Brow Goal: To maintain the balanced facial shape

How to: focus on making your brows look fuller by brushing your brows upwards. The BROWLY Brow Booster will add instant fullness and draw attention to your eyes.
Round face shape
On a round face, the width and length of your face is identical and the cheekbones are the wides part of the face. Don’t opt for round brows if you have a round face as round brows will only make your face appear even rounder. Angular brows are also not a good idea as they tend to overwhelm a round face and look out of place. Instead, opt for high-arched brows. This will create the illusion of a longer and slimmer face.
Brow Goal: To make the face look longer and slimmer

How to: Using a hard angled brush and a wax or brow powder, mark the start and arch of your brow. Then connect the points using hair-like strokes. Then grab the BROWLY Brow Booster and the BROWLY Brow Brush. Using the spoolie side gently comb the product through the bows. Leave the arch slightly dense to amp up its height. Lastly, grab a highlighter and highlight your brow bone to lift the brow even higher.
Oblong face shape
An oblong face shape is longer than it’s wide. Forehead, cheekbone and jawline are basically the same width. Avoid high-arched brows as these will only make your face look even longer. Straight and full brows will look most flattering and make your face appear shorter and wider.
Brow Goal: Add width to your face
Celebrity eyebrow sisters: Lucy Liu, Kelly Rowland, Gisele Bundchen
How to: As your main brow goal is to add width to your face, try to extend your eyebrows, drawing them out horizontally. Brush your brows into the desired shape and underline the straight, flat brow with a brow pen or pomade.
Square face shape
The forehead, jawline and cheekbones are pretty much all the same width. In general, square faces are quite angular. Steer clear of a bold, dramatic look. The aim is a soft and feminine face. This is best achieved with slightly rounded brows.
Brow Goal: Draw attention to your eyes and brows and soften the faceshape
Celebrity eyebrow sisters: Keira Knightley, Olivia Wilde, Angelina Jolie
How To: Make sure that your eyebrows are curved with a slightly angled arch. If this is not the natural shape of your brows, try to pluck them a little, but be careful not to pluck too much ;). Use a brow pomade or brow pen to draw the arch and outline of the brow. Then use the BROWLY Brow Booster to make the brows stay in the desired position.
Heart-shaped face
A heart-shaped face is very similar to a round face, but the forehead is a little wider with a sharp chin. For all of you hear-shaped beauties, try a rounded brow shape as this will help soften the more angular areas of your face. Don’t be scared to go a little fuller. This face shape can definitely pull of a full brow, so be sure to add some color.
Brow Goal: A soft, feminine face shape
Celebrity eyebrow sisters: Scarlett Johansson, Naomi Campbell, Halle Berry
How to: To achieve a soft and rounded brow, use a highlighter to brighten and lift the area under the brow.
Diamond Face
Wide cheekbones, a pointed chin and narrow forehead are typical features of a diamond-shaped face. The goal is to shorten the face, make the forehead appear a little wider and to add balance overall. Full brows that are angled at the arch and longer at the ends will complete your look and balance your face shape.
Brow Goal: Balance and shorten your face
Celebrity eyebrow sisters: Mallika Sherawat, Shakira, Serena Williams
How to: To lengthen out the ends of your brows, use a brow pomade or pen. If you naturally don’t have long brow ends, try using a brow growth serum.
Bottom line:
If you orientate yourself by the shape of your face, you will get wow-browses in no time ;-)
